Client Services:
The client services program is our core program and gateway to other services provided by Breaking Free. After an initial intake and assessment is completed, an individual plan for each client is established and implemented, which includes
Sisters of Survival (SOS):
A 14-week intensive education program that examines sex trafficking as a slave-based system, the impact it has on victims' lives, and issues related to addiction and recovery.
Permanent Supportive Housing:
Breaking Free’s permanent housing facility was opened through a partnership with the Minnesota Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in 2001. The 34-unit apartment complex is master-leased by Breaking Free with one- and two-bedroom units.
Our permanent supportive housing program houses men and women (and their children. We call this program "permanent supportive housing" because we are not mandated by our funding to require a time limit of stay for residents. It is our hope and design that clients will utilize this program and its supportive services to eventually achieve self-sufficiency.
Breaking Free's volunteers are invested, skilled, hard-working, creative, passionate people who want to make a difference in the lives of the women who come through our doors.
