Does Human Trafficking Happen in PEI? Let’s Talk About It.
When people think about human trafficking, they often imagine it happening in big cities or distant countries. But the reality is: it’s happening here too—right in our Island communities.
So what does trafficking actually look like on PEI? How can we protect ourselves and our loved ones, recognize the signs, and take meaningful action?
What to Expect:
🟣 Real Insights – Hear from Dina, a lived experience expert and CEO of EVENforONE, who will be here in person to share her powerful story and insight.
🟣 Understanding the Issue – Learn what trafficking can look like here at home and why myths often keep us from seeing the signs.
🟣 Recognizing the Signs – Learn practical ways to spot red flags to help protect your loved ones and community.
🟣 How to Help – Discover tangible steps anyone can take to raise awareness, prevent trafficking, and support overcomers.
Why This Matters:
Human trafficking takes many forms. Misconceptions often prevent us from recognizing the reality in our own communities. Education is key, and this event will empower you with the knowledge to make a difference.
Who Should Attend:
This FREE event is for parents, educators, healthcare workers, business owners, the hospitality and transportation industry, and concerned community members who want to help make our communities safe. No prior knowledge is required—just a willingness to learn and engage.
Due to the sensitive nature of this topic, we recommend attendance for ages 18 and up. Parents are encouraged to use their discretion.
Join us for this vital conversation featuring Dina—an Overcomer, advocate, and leader—who is helping to bring trafficking into the light.
We’re deeply grateful for the generous support and donations from Red Shores and Centre 150 for hosting. We couldn’t do this work without caring individuals and organizations who believe in our mission and stand with us in saying #NotOnMyIsland!
Spread the news! We encourage you to share about our upcoming event on your socials.
